What is CoastaFloor PRO?
CoastaFloor PRO is an in-development flooring measurement and estimating workflow from Coastal Solutions Media. It is being designed to connect room capture, flooring products, service scopes, waste factors, and estimate preparation in one sequence, then carry the customer and estimate into CoastaFlow for follow-up. It is not yet generally available.
Flooring estimates involve more moving parts than most trades: multiple connected rooms, product choices with different waste allowances, removal and prep, transitions, and trim. CoastaFloor PRO is intended to keep those decisions organized room by room, so the estimate reflects what was measured and selected instead of what was remembered later at the office.
How is room capture planned to work in CoastaFloor PRO?
CoastaFloor PRO is planned to use supported LiDAR-equipped Apple devices, such as certain iPhone Pro and iPad Pro models, where Apple’s RoomPlan framework combines depth data and the camera to detect walls and openings and build a room model. The intended workflow captures one room or several connected rooms, then hands them to the estimator for review.
Scans can be affected by furniture, mirrors, glass, reflective floors, lighting, and irregular layouts, so captured dimensions are a starting point, not a final number. The planned workflow includes a review step for room dimensions and layout before products, waste factors, and project variables are applied. Device support and product direction may change during development.
How will CoastaFloor PRO connect to CoastaFlow?
The planned connection sends the customer, the room-level project details, and the estimate into CoastaFlow, the CRM and automation system from Coastal Solutions Media. It is designed to create or update the contact and sales opportunity and trigger follow-up, so an in-home measurement does not end with a quote that nobody checks on.
